The applicant Thresiamma and Stephen are poor couple having a grown up daughter and two sons.   Thresiamma is a very sickly person unable for any work. She is suffering from chronic asthma and suffocation.

Her husband is the only earning member in this family.  He goes for painting works. But he too is very unhealthy and often become sick with a skin infection beneath his feet. So he has difficulty to walk.  Besides, he has chest pain and back pain also. Major portion of their earnings goes on medicines. He has only irregular earnings to sustain his family.

Due to the adverse family situation, their eldest daughter was unsuccessful in her school studies. She dropped her studies when she failed in 10th grade and now working as a sales girl in a fancy shop in the hope to be a little support in her father’s struggle.

The elder son Jacob Stenny is learning welding work in a workshop. The youngest son Stebin is continuing his school studies randomly in the midst of starvation and disease. He is a great worry to his parents. He has the same problem of his mother. He is suffering from allergic bronchitis from very small age onwards. This disease often prevents him from attending the school.  Often he is sick with and these poor parents are in debt due to his expensive medication. For some extent the inhalers helps him from suffocation but there is no signs of complete recovery from his ailments. His treatment is a real financial burden on this poor family.

They also have an ailing mother though aged is a great moral support to this destitute family. They are dwelling in a semi-permanent hut, which is fully spoiled. Its wall portion is covered with coconut fronds and roof portion is plated with roof sheet, which is not lasting. Another problem is that this shelter is built in an acquired land, which lacks document.

Any help given to them will be greatly appreciated. Kindly come forward to redeem them from the thralldom of penury, poverty, and loneliness and bodily ill health? May God bless the kind benefactor!
