Sujatha belongs to Relly Schedule cast and her husband Ramu Rao is the bread winner of their family. He goes to various villages to buy seasonal fruits for sale so to earn their livelihood. For such works he has to stay in the open fields to watch and care the trees for a period of time. This is a very risky job so as to they buy the fruits when they are flowered itself. If any bad climate occurs great will be their loss.
They have two children who are girls. Pooja the eldest daughter is sickly and suffers from Marasmus, and need tender care, nutritious diet and medication. Nagomy is one month old baby. Ramu’s parents are with them to care for.
Anna Purna, mother-in-law of Sujatha though not that healthy goes for coolie work whenever it is available. Rama Rao her father-in-law is a chronic TB patient, very weak and miserable, needs heavy medication and nutritious food.
They have one cent of land but no house of their own. They are living in Ramu’s brother’s house. They have a great desire to build a house of their own. It remains as a dream since they are not able to eat at least two times a day with their mere income. Being young couple Sujatha and Ramu have the desire and hope to bring up their family providing good food and education to their children. There is no other help for this family. A kind help will enable this poor family to find source for their daily appetite and need.
